ChartHouse Clearwater Beach Marina Hotel

6/10 Okay

"The rooms are extraordinarily SMALL. There is one small desk chair in addition to the two queen beds. The bathroom/toilet space is in one room, so that is pretty inconvenient. Honestly the view was impeccable, the pool area is fabulous. Food was really pretty good from the restaurant, but the inability to have breakfast is difficult, with the lack of parking in Clearwater Beach. Mixed drinks were not good and we tried them multiple times with different bartenders. They were very watered down. The beds are comfortable, air worked well, but the size of the rooms was just not in keeping with the prices for the rooms. After dark, the noise levels outside made it impossible to enjoy any family time at the pool, not to mention the R-rated music videos that were broadcast on the walls. It was certainly uncomfortable with young children with us and not family friendly. I don't understand and felt pretty betrayed by all the 5 star ratings, and probably would have chosen another hotel, if the reviews had been honest. This is my personal opinion and I wasn't reimbursed for my review."

Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach

10/10 Excellent

"This was our second stat with Wyndham Grand at Clearwater Beach and it was not disappointing. We had very early flight and I ask the hotel if they could have our room ready earlier. They did not promise anything but when we arrived our room was ready and on the top, it was upgraded to the full Gulf view. The hotel is perfectly situated in the clearwater beach are with easy access to the beach, attractions and other hotels. It also provides free beach umbrella and two lounge chairs. We are definitely planning to go again next year."

"Room seemed cleaned but not deep cleaned. Room was smaller and more crowded than it seemed online. I’ve stayed at much nicer hotels for the same price or similar so this experience was very disappointing. Downstairs is maintained nicely but once you go up, it looks so old and gross. And the bathroom was sooooo small."

Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay

"Overall it's great, but the reason I stayed there was because I had a 0633 flight the Grand Hyatt offered shuttle service to the airport port. However, I discovered, upon inquiry, that the service doesn't begin until 0500. Since I was required to arrive 2 hours prior to departure, the courtesy shuttle was meaningless to me. Otherwise, the hotel was great and I learned something. Thank God for Uber."

2/10 Terrible

"Staff was repeatedly unhelpful at multiple turns. Never called to notify room was ready — shrugged at the responsibility whilst simultaneously admitting to being busy and sold out. Stood in line for 10 extra minutes when finally able to check in due to taking “X” and other premium members in line who had just arrived. Overall just felt like an inconvenience being on a very inconvenient property to navigate."
